I hope this finds you in good health and high spirits. My name is Michael Gehron, and I am writing to you on behalf of Innovators Robotics, a community high school robotics competition team. We are a dedicated group of students and mentors passionate about robotics and engineering, and we are seeking your support to continue our successful journey.
I am thrilled to share with you some remarkable achievements of our team. Over the past [number of years], we have consistently nurtured young minds, fostering their passion for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Our efforts have resulted in an impressive track record, with 95% of our students going on to pursue four-year degrees or higher. These talented individuals have also received over $2 million in scholarships and grants, paving the way for their future success.
The remaining 5% of our students have made direct entry into the industry, with many of them being highly sought after by some of our valued sponsors. We take great pride in the fact that our team has been instrumental in shaping their career paths, and we strive to continue this tradition by providing invaluable experiences and opportunities.
Unfortunately, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted our team's ability to fundraise and maintain our operations at full capacity. Our usual avenues of fundraising, such as community events and corporate sponsorships, have been severely limited, making it increasingly challenging for us to acquire the necessary resources.
To ensure the continued growth and success of Innovators Robotics, we are seeking your generous support through sponsorship. Your contribution will go a long way in assisting us with the following needs:
• Purchase of Computers and Robot Parts: As technology evolves rapidly, our team requires up-to-date computers and specialized robot parts to compete effectively. Your sponsorship will help us acquire the necessary equipment, enhancing our capabilities in designing and building innovative robots. ($3,500)
• Raw Materials: Robotics is an exciting field that relies on a wide range of materials for prototyping, testing, and constructing robots. Your sponsorship will enable us to procure high-quality raw materials, facilitating the realization of our creative ideas and encouraging hands-on learning experiences. ($1,000)
• Intermodal Container for Storage: With our expanding collection of tools, equipment, and robotics supplies, we are in dire need of additional storage space. An intermodal container will provide a secure and efficient solution, ensuring that our resources are well-organized and easily accessible. ($3,500)
