Symbiosis Congress of Municipal Movements
From September 18-22, 2019, community organizations from across North America will convene in Detroit, MI to deliberate and launch a continental confederation of grassroots, democratic movements.
Please join us in building our Congress of Municipal Movements. This is our final push to ensure the Congress can be as accessible and accommodating as possible to all delegates and attendees.

About Symbiosis
Symbiosis is building a confederation of grassroots, democratic community organizations across North America. We are fighting for a better world by creating institutions of participatory democracy and the solidarity economy through community organizing, neighborhood by neighborhood, city by city.
When we organize, we can resist, but resistance is not governance. We need a better approach, beyond the particular struggles to contain the excesses and brutalities of our present system, toward a coherent movement strategy that creates the systems of tomorrow.
Our organizations have come together because we recognize that the changes required to secure our future are more than what each of us can do at the local level. We need to escalate our strategy towards a strong network, or confederation.
About the Congress of Municipal Movements
Delegates from our member organizations, as well as at-large members and partner organizations, will convene in Detroit this September to 1) build community, 2) learn from one another, and 3) launch a permanent confederation for decision-making, mutual aid, and resource-sharing between directly democratic grassroots institutions and movements across the continent. How to get involved
We need all the help we can get to ensure that this Congress is accessible, especially to our delegates from marginalized communities and low-income backgrounds.
$300 sponsors a round-trip flight to the Congress.
$100 supports a delegate's accommodation for the full Congress.
$50 pays for one participant's food for the whole event.
$25 covers a delegate's accommodations for one night.

If you have airline miles you'd like to donate to a member organization delegate for a flight to Detroit, please email us at info@symbiosis-revolution.org and we'll work with you to make that donation happen.
