IDA COVID-19 Relief Fund for Families and Teachers
These are challenging times. But we cannot allow more children to fall further behind their peers. Our struggling readers need us now more than ever.
We need you to stand with us!
The Impact
The turmoil and uncertainty caused by COVID-19 is hitting our education system hard. With schools closed and the shift to remote learning, struggling readers are finding it even harder to keep up. The problem is compounded by the lack of basic resources many families and teachers need to ensure learning.
It is imperative that we, as an inclusive community, make sure our children have what they need—not only to keep up, but to thrive.
IDA COVID-19 RELIEF FUND – For students and teachers
The IDA community understands all too well the burden this crisis has placed on families and teachers with its disruption of income, quarantine, and other challenges. That’s why we have established a national relief fund to help those hit the hardest by providing the following:
1. Computers, laptops, or tablets (for remote learning) for those who can’t afford them,
2. Educational software and other required learning tools,
3. Tutorial stipends for students who need one-on-one learning assistance, and;
4. Family advocate stipends for those in need of special education advocacy services.
We Need You!
Now is the time to unite and serve the many families feeling hopeless. They only want the best for their children. Let’s not turn any of them away.
Won’t you please contribute $1.00 (or more) to help them? Together, we are stronger than COVID19!
