Help Build A Class Room & Church In Kenya!
Josh and I had both been praying about giving. Last week I felt like God said to pay attention to Involved International , a mission organization in East Africa that I’ve been following for years. All the way back in 2006 I met Bailey on a mission’s trip to Ecuador. She and her husband (who grew up in Kenya) are making a huge impact in Africa. They’re coming alongside local leaders to build schools and churches, and are empowering women (and men!) through their fashion line Kibibi Design.
After God put the organization on my heart I asked him to give me a sign if there was a need we could meet. And in God-fashion there was! Three days prior Bailey had just so happened to post about Pastor Elijah who lives in Maasai Mara, Kenya, and is looking to build a primary school/church structure in the next few weeks. I've been in communication with Bailey and it's a really exciting project. They currently have 132 kiddos coming together each week to meet under a giant tree. But once the monsoon season hits, they’re going to need a solid structure. They’re looking to build a 4 room structure. *The organization has built many churches/schools with Pastor Elijah.
So all this brings me to the point of this post - God’s given us such an exciting opportunity to make a difference and I’m ecstatic about it!
Two rooms have been paid for. Now they need the funding for two more. We’ve raised enough money for the third room. The final room costs $2500. Once that money is raised the project is fully funded! Whoop whoop!
So if you have that same desire embedded in your heart to make a difference and if this speaks to you, we just wanted to extend the opportunity to anyone else that wants to be a part. :)
Oh and BTW, this is footage of the impact Involved International is making!! If you're on Instagram message me and I can send you a video of the ACTUAL kids and ACTUAL tree where the kids in Maasai Mara are meeting. :) How cool is that? It’s not everyday you get to see exactly where your money is going and can envision the actual difference it’s going to make. Gahhhh I’m so excited! It feels like one of my dreams is coming true. And I'm hoping this reaches someone who has the same dream.
God bless you!
