Support Gita life NYC Student & Youth Programs
Hare Krishna! I'm Arjun Anand Das, a simple monk at the New York City temple.
I conduct programs for students based on the Bhagavad Gita to teach them character and culture for real success. For this, I need a car to travel to different locations where we conduct our programs.
I'm attaching our quarterly report here for a glimpse of what we do to help transform the lives of students in the United States, especially in New York and New Jersey.
Please find the attachment here: BYS preaching report
Because I'm a full time monk, I don't earn a penny for myself as my life is dedicated to fully sharing spiritual knowledge with the youth who are the leaders of tomorrow.
Lord Krishna mentions to Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gita that charity is to be done at the right time, place and to the right cause.

dātavyam iti yad dānaṁ
dīyate ’nupakāriṇe
deśe kāle ca pātre ca
tad dānaṁ sāttvikaṁ smṛtam
Charity given out of duty, without expectation of return, at the proper time and place, and to a worthy person is considered to be in the mode of goodness.
Srila Prabhupada writes his commentary to this verse:
"In the Vedic literature, charity given to a person engaged in spiritual activities is recommended. There is no recommendation for giving charity indiscriminately. Spiritual perfection is always a consideration. Therefore charity is recommended to be given at a place of pilgrimage and at lunar or solar eclipses or at the end of the month or to a qualified brāhmaṇa or a Vaiṣṇava (devotee) or in temples. Such charities should be given without any consideration of return."
I run a student oriented program called as Gita Life NYC, an educational branch of ISKCON NYC, where I teach the Bhagavad Gita to the college students to help them equip with competence, character, and culture, based on the teachings of Vedic literatures like Bhagavad Gita, and others.

Over 100+ students are benefitted from this program, and many are continuing to benefit.
I reach out to all those who have a heart for Sanatana Dharma to kindly help me spread the message of Lord Krishna far and wide to please my gurus and acharyas. This is the best way to please the Supreme Lord:

ya idaṁ paramaṁ guhyaṁ
mad-bhakteṣv abhidhāsyati
bhaktiṁ mayi parāṁ kṛtvā
mām evaiṣyaty asaṁśayaḥ
For one who explains this supreme secret to the devotees, pure devotional service is guaranteed, and at the end he will come back to Me.
na ca tasmān manuṣyeṣu
kaścin me priya-kṛttamaḥ
bhavitā na ca me tasmād
anyaḥ priya-taro bhuvi
There is no servant in this world more dear to Me than he, nor will there ever be one more dear.
Thank you, and I'll remain ever grateful to kind help /\
The donation will be used for
1. Getting a decent car to travel to weekly programs and carry students to retreats
2. Starting centers in and around New York City to help students live an ashram experience centered on the principles of Sanatan Dharma.
3. Prepare appealing and sumptuous meals for students who attend the programs.
