Fundraiser to Support Brother Mansour Qwaider’s Family.

 

                                                       URGENT APPEAL

 

Assalmu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh!

Kindly help Br. Mansour Qwaider’s Family with their living and educational expenses.

Our Beloved Brother Mansour Qwaider passed away on Sunday February 21, 2021 at age 49 years and after more than 5 years struggling (with great patience) stage 4 colon cancer that has spread to the liver and lungs.


Dear Brothers and Sisters,

We ask Allah SWT that this message finds you, your family and friends in the best state of Health and Faith.  

We are reaching out to you seeking your kindness and generosity in helping the family of our dear brother Mansour who left behind his wife and 5 young children ranging from 6 to 22.  Two of the children 19 and 22 are still college students. The wife is very much occupied by the young children programs of school and other activities and the only wage earner has passed away.

Brother Mansour was one of the founders and a member of the Board of Directors of the Islamic Center of Glendale. He was well known for his excellent Islamic characters. The following long paragraph is quotation from some brothers: “have known Mansour for than 30 yrs, the most humble, loving, and respectful person I have ever met, of high level of excellent manners, conduct & characters, a true family man, loved his family, raised his kids on piety and truthfulness, very devoted, spent most of his life working in the Da'wah field, helping organizing conferences, working in Masajid, setting up equipment for Islamic events, etc, all done silently, quietly without waiting for rewards and/or recognitions from anyone, one of founders of several Masajids & organizations: such as IC Glendale, Hawthorne, attended Quran teaching study circles, generous, kind, soft-hearted, very talented in: computer science in addition to many other areas, in all kinds of sports such as soccer, volleyball, basketball, organize the weekly sport events, bring whatever needed to make those events successful by bringing food and refreshments (including at Fajr Prayer) for others without asking for help, very helpful to others; he was there when you need him even if he spent hours with you until the task is completed”

 

 We have already opened a Bank account under the Islamic Center of Glendale specifically for the sole Charitable  purpose of supporting destressed individuals and families. Your donation is tax deductible and the support money provided to the receiver(s) is non-taxable. Our Goal for this campaign is to raise one Hundred Thousand ($100,000.00) Dollars.

The Prophet Muhammad PBUH said: “Allah (GOD) will continue to aid a servant as long as the servant continues to aid his brother.” He PBUH also said: “Whoever removes grief from a believer from amongst the sorrows of this life, Allah will remove grief from him amongst the sorrows of the Day of Resurrection.” Also, He said:  “The one who tells others will get similar rewards as the doers.”

We are reaching out to you seeking your kindness and generosity in helping the Islamic Center of Glendale, California  raising needed funds that are required for the Operating Expense Budget and  provide for needed funds for our Full Time Imam and the shortfall on our FundRaising Campaign to carry out needed repairs and remodeling  of the center and to carry its activities and programs during the year. The Islamic Center's house remodeling  and the construction of the center's additional Wudu' facilities are complete and it has drained the cash assets of the center.
