Island Food Pantry of Marthas Vineyard

The Martha's Vineyard Regional High School National Honors Society is a group made up of the best and leaders from MVRHS, as we work together to make a difference in our island community. In NHS, students take charge of organizing community service and outreach projects ranging from starting food drives to assisting at golf tournaments, and everything in between. To start this school year, in the theme of the times, we have decided to take a great deal of our work online, meaning that we have decided to start a gofundme campaign in order to raise money to help fellow Vineyarders that are in need.

Join us in helping to make a difference in our Martha's Vineyard community! We're raising money to benefit Island Food Pantry of Marthas Vineyard, and any donation will help make an impact. Although the lockdown may be over for the most part, there is still a great need among many Vineyarders for food during these trying times.

Together with our many volunteers, partners, and supporters we sustain our neighbors in times of need by providing a dependable source of wholesome food.

This will be our first missed Cinco de Mayo in 16 years at Sharky's Cantina on Martha's Vineyard, so in lieu of hosting 2,000 people we want to raise a toast to HOPE. Our goal is to have 5,555 people join a Facebook Live on my page, JB BLAU, as we all give a cheers and connect for a good cause! 

On Facebook Live, we hope to hit 5,555 people in attendance watching the Live at 5:55pm EST and hopefully raise $5555 (update: we have raised our goal to $55,555) to benefit Island Food Pantry of Marthas Vineyard Inc. 

Our ask: donate $5, $55 or $555 and join 5,555 people live on our Facebook page! Please join us today May 5th at 5:55pm EST on Facebook and thank you for making a donation! This money goes directly to the Island Food Pantry and we never have access to it!

About the Island Food Pantry: Their goal is to prevent hunger on Martha’s Vineyard. Anyone having difficulty obtaining food is eligible for assistance from the Island Food Pantry. The Island Food Pantry strives to cultivate a healthy, hunger-free community on Martha’s Vineyard. Together with their many volunteers, partners, and supporters, they help sustain our neighbors in times of need by providing a dependable source of wholesome food.
