Raymond Guarini is fundraising
Fund an online catalague of Italian Neighborhoods
We are a 501c nonprofit and any donations are 100% tax deductible.
Our mission is to catalogue every Italian neighborhood and Italian church in America since the mid 1800's.
We also endeavor to proliferate the #supportitalianamericanbusinesses hashtag in an effort to give each Italian business in America, especially "mom and pop" businesses, an opportunity to stand out and endure despite demographic, economic and pandemic shifts.
We started this campaign with the idea of raising money to hire a developer for our website which would eventually host thousands of photos from dozens of neighborhoods and churches. It takes a lot of time to make that happen and unfortunately, a lot of money. So far, to that end, we have raised approximately $3,000.
The additional funds that you see raised on this campaign went towards an emergency campaign that we augmented to provide first responders in New York with KN95 masks, surgical masks, surgical gloves and more in an effort to help the NYPD, FDNY, and nurses on the front lines of the battle against Covid 19. That was a major success and we are extremely grateful to our warm-hearted supporters who stepped up at a time of great need. Check out our social media pages for photos and video of that campaign @ItalianEnclaves on Facebook and Instagram.
We have now resumed our fundraising campaign to continue building our website in line with our mission to document and showcase Italian neighborhoods in America that have existed, do exist, and will always exist virtually on our site. The Italian Enclaves Historical Society is a testament to the 25 million Italian Americans in the United States who have and always will be major sources of contribution to our one-of-a-kind society by focusing on the individual neighborhoods that spawned some of the most successful and productive citizens that America has ever seen.
Businesses and organizations that wish to have banner ads on the site may e-mail us at [email redacted] .
