Support Johns Creek Veterans Memorial Walk
Girl Scout Troop 22167 is proudly working toward earning their Bronze Award, which is the third highest honor in the Girl Scout organization. This is a special milestone for the 12 girls in my troop who have been together since the first grade. I am honored to be serving in my fourth year as their troop leader.
The Bronze Award project challenges Girl Scouts to identify a need in their community, develop and carry out a plan to address it, and create a lasting impact. Our troop has chosen to honor the brave military working dogs through our fundraising campaign, Paws & Patriots.
Our inspiration for this initiative came during a visit to our Johns Creek Memorial Park three years ago. As the girls explored and reflected at the memorial, they noticed all the monuments honoring the brave men and women who have served our country in every war. However, being avid animal lovers, the girls noticed something missing--a tribute to the loyal and courageous military service dogs who have played a vital role in protecting our troops and supporting our country's efforts in times of conflict. With determination, Troop 22167 decided they wanted to be part of correcting this omission.
With dedication, teamwork and compassion, together we will work with the Johns Creek Veterans Association to make a difference in our community with this impactful project. Please join us in helping us reach our goals. Thank you in advance for your support.
