Dear Friends of Kadima Conservatory of Music,
I am writing to urgently request your help. We need to raise $45,000 to keep our programs running through the end of this school year.
The Kadima Conservatory of Music, Inc. is a non-profit organization that funds scholarships for disadvantaged students of the Kadima Conservatory’s music school. The non-profit organization was born out of necessity. The Conservatory had been providing fully subsidized music training for hundreds of under privileged children. The financial burden of offering quality musical training for children whose parents could not afford it was threatening to end the wonderful programs of the Conservatory. With the assistance of other dedicated community members Kadima’s director Beth Elliott launched a non-profit organization for the purpose of funding scholarships, providing musical experiences for underserved communities and advancing classical music wherever possible.
Would you consider making a tax-deductible donation today to keep our Conservatory doors open?
Every donation in any amount is meaningful. Please donate what you can today. I founded Kadima in 1983 with the belief that everyone deserves a high-quality music education and to be mentored and nurtured in a musical community. No one has ever been turned away due to a lack of funds. Most of the students in our programs are on full or partial scholarship due to their family’s income. Please help us continue our vital mission by donating today.
We are grappling with many unforeseen challenges right now. The fires that have recently devastated Los Angeles have made it difficult to appeal for donations and have otherwise impacted our programming. The grants budget of the California Arts Council was severely reduced this past year and Kadima lost close to $50,000 in funding that it normally depends on. Looking ahead, the current federal administration’s policies put continued arts funding in further jeopardy.
I am appealing directly to YOU – our community of supporters – to donate today to help us bridge this budget shortfall.
We are doing whatever we can to fundraise right now. We have amazing parent volunteers organizing bake sales for our concerts. We have applied to more grants this year than any other year in our history. We are looking to partner with local businesses for dine-to-donate events.
We need your help to cross the finish line. Please consider making a donation today so we can continue the Conservatory’s life-changing programs.
With gratitude and appreciation,
Beth
