Dr. Mehmet Erk, MD Memorial Fund
My name is Dr. Susan Erk and along with our loving daughter and four sons, we are raising money, in lieu of memorial gifts, to benefit Kaleida Health Foundation in memory of my husband, Dr. Mehmet Erk. We want to honor his legacy of excellence in medicine, mastery of surgical skills and empathy and kindness shown to all of his patients.
Our journey together began as residents at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital about 38 years ago. After completing our residencies, we went on to open our own practice. We were blessed with many years of partnership in providing our best care to the community. This could not have been accomplished without the endless support from the staff and colleagues at MFSH as well as our extended Premier OBGYN family. I will cherish the memories on Labor and Delivery and the countless hours in the surgical suite at MFSH.
One of Mehmet's special interests was to contribute to the education and growth of the OBGYN residents. He was awarded with the Chief Resident Award multiple times in his career demonstrating the true impact he had on his community.
All funds raised will be allocated to the Kaleida Health Foundation to help drive educational advancements and quality of care in our community. Any donation in honor of Mehmet will help make an impact.
