About Kaleideum

Kaleideum was formed in 2016 by the merger of The Children’s Museum of Winston-Salem and SciWorks, establishing a single organization with a new mission — “Inspiring wonder, curiosity, and lifelong learning in our children and community through interactive play and discovery.” Kaleideum delivers informal education in an innovative manner by focusing on the fusion of art and science, the bravery to fail and try again, and the joy of play and lifelong learning. Much like a kaleidoscope, Kaleideum encourages examining the world through different overlapping lenses thereby practicing and developing critical skills that equip and empower visitors to be a part of our ever-changing world.
