Celebrating over 30 years of running miniature trains for families in Kansas City, Missouri, the Kansas City Northern Miniature Railroad is announcing an ambitious multi-year expansion plan and we need your help!
Since 1992, the all-volunteer, 501c3 organization (KC Parks and Recreation Partner Program) has operated accident-free while serving more than 56,000 riders per season. After an amazing three decades of hard work, dedication and passion for delivering the railroading experience, we have an aspiring vision for our next stop... the future.
Your contribution will go directly toward covering the costs associated with making the Kansas City Northern Miniature Railroad a premier destination in the American Heartland.
- Doubling the current park footprint to include a new picnic grove
- Expand the half-mile, single-loop track to a one-mile, lazy-8 layout
- Add two creek bridge crossings to provide an exciting riding experience
- Preserving the woodland to provide a realistic and natural variety of terrain
- A new miniature steam engine will be added to the fleet!!!
