Kawasaki Disease Foundation

Hi, my name is Anya and I was hospitalized with Kawasaki Disease when I was 4 years old. Kawasaki is a rare inflammatory heart condition that primarily affects children under the age of 5. It’s also the leading cause of acquired heart disease in young children, affecting thousands of children every year. Cupcakes for Kawasaki aims to raise funds to support affected children and their families as well as spreading awareness about this often misunderstood and under diagnosed condition. All proceeds will go to the Kawasaki Disease Foundation (KDF) in efforts to improve the lives of the children and families impacted by Kawasaki.

Kawasaki Disease is the leading cause of acquired heart disease in children, with thousands of children being diagnosed with Kawasaki Disease each year. The purpose of Cookies4Kawasaki is to make a direct impact in the lives of Kawasaki Disease patients, by raising money to send teddy bears and tote bags to patients in the hospital. For a confused and scared child with Kawasaki disease, a simple teddy bear can make all the difference, and be their greatest friend in their journey to recovery :)

Extra proceeds will be used to fund treatment for patients whose families are unable to afford it.
