Hello, my name is Matt Bass. A few months ago, my grandmother, Toby Bass Horowitz, passed away. She left behind a home filled with unopened children's toys and dolls. Growing up, my grandmother faced a difficult childhood, which sparked her passion for collecting dolls and toys later in life, often sharing them with her grandchildren.

In her honor, I want to give back to the Staten Island community, especially families in need during the holidays. I’m hosting a Winter Wonderland Event on Sunday, December 22nd, at The New Dorp Moravian - Parish House Hall where we will be giving away toys, as well as offering food, coffee, hot chocolate, and sweet treats.

This is a FREE EVENT, but we welcome donations. All proceeds will go to Kids Against Cancer, an organization that supported my nephew, Cody Bass, during his battle with cancer only a few years ago at the age of 17.

We hope you can join us for this special day. If you’re unable to attend, we would be incredibly grateful for any donation to this meaningful cause. Thank you for helping us honor my grandmother’s legacy while making a difference this holiday season.

Join us in spreading joy and Hope this Halloween season as we fight childhood cancer together!

Our family is committed to giving back to the incredible organization, Kids Against Cancer, that has provided support for us during our son, Hunter's battle with cancer. Their assistance helped us navigate the toughest time of our life, and we want to ensure that other families have access to the same resources. Kids Against Cancer provides families relief from financial burdens that cancer can place on a family. The only thing that these families should be focused on is getting their children the care and treatments they need!

This Halloween, Hunter’s family & grandparents have poured their hearts and souls into creating a spooky display (Hunters Horror House on Renee Place) filled with some of Hunter's favorite animatronics. It’s a testament to Hunter’s resilience, love for the holiday, and it helped keep his spooky spirits up! (Lights up October 1st and can be found in the Staten Island’s Haunted House Facebook page list)
