Kids Cancer Foundation

Hi, my name is Daniella Tadeo and I grew up in Miami, Florida. I started this nonprofit because cancer changed my family’s life in a way I will never forget. My brother and my grandpa both fought this terrible disease, and I watched as the hospital slowly drained the light from their eyes. It wasn’t just the treatments; it was the way cancer made them feel like they were nothing more than their illness. Yet, they weren’t just cancer patients; they were people with dreams, laughter, and so much life left to live. But in the hospital, there was no escape from the beeping machines, the sterile walls, and the endless waiting. They longed for a place to feel normal, to have fun, to forget just for a moment that they were sick. That’s why I created this organization: to give children battling cancer a space where they can play, dream, and feel like kids again. Because no child should ever feel like they are just their disease. They deserve joy, hope, and a place where they can be more than a patient.

We educate families about their child's diagnosis & treatment as well as provide the physical, emotional & financial support these children and families need throughout this difficult journey.

The reason, I am starting this fundraising effort is so, I can help alleviate the suffering and support these kids and their family members to give them a fighting chance at life and to help provide them essential treatments, support services, and research that can lead to better outcomes and, ultimately, cures. Every dollar raised can make a significant difference in a child’s journey towards recovery and a brighter future.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 with your generous contributions, so we can make a significant impact on the lives of children battling cancer. This amount can be used to fund essential medical treatments and therapies that are often beyond the reach of many families. Additionally, it can support research initiatives aimed at finding better treatments and ultimately a cure for pediatric cancers. Beyond medical care, the funds can also be allocated to provide emotional and psychological support services, such as counseling and art therapy, which are crucial for the well-being of young patients. Furthermore, $10,000 can help create a more comfortable and supportive environment in hospitals by funding playrooms, educational programs, and family support services, ensuring that these brave kids and their families have the resources they need during such a challenging time.
