September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month!
During this month the Kids Cancer Foundation celebrates 23 years of supporting our local Little Warriors and their families. We also celebrate each of our Little Warriors that we have supported along the way.
Imagine being a parent and hearing the words, “Your child has cancer.” It’s a nightmare that becomes a reality for too many families every year. The journey that follows is one filled with fear, uncertainty, and overwhelming challenges. That’s where the Kids Cancer Foundation steps in.
Who We Are: Since 2001, the Kids Cancer Foundation has had a mission to offer hope and support to our local children and their families who are battling childhood cancer. From the moment of diagnosis, we are there to offer emotional, educational, and financial assistance, ensuring no family faces this fight alone.
Our Impact: Through our many programs, we offer the support that addresses the unique needs of each family. This includes medical education, financial assistance, counseling services, educational support, play therapy, and family fun experiences like holiday celebrations and special events like our “Kids Night Out” and “Family Socials”. We’ve seen firsthand how a little help can make a world of difference—turning fear into hope and offering support that truly impacts each child and their entire family!
Why We Need Your Help: The fight against childhood cancer is a marathon, not a sprint. To continue providing these essential programs and services, we rely on the generosity of people like you. Your donation will directly impact the lives of our local children and families facing childhood cancer, helping us to fund the programs, provide financial relief, and create moments of joy during difficult times.
Our Goal: With your support, we aim to raise $23,000 ($1,000 for each year since KCF began) to continue our mission and expand our services to reach even more families in need.
How You Can Help:
1. Donate: Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a difference.
2. Share: Spread the word about our campaign on social media, with friends, and in your community.
3. Get Involved: If you’re local, consider volunteering, sponsoring or participating in one of our events.
A Final Word: Childhood cancer is a battle no child or family should have to fight alone. Help us Help them Fight!!! Together, we can provide the support they need to keep fighting. Thank you for standing with us in this important cause. Your generosity brings hope to those who need it most.
