Kiowa County Historical Society

We are a nonprofit historical society dedicated to educating the public about the rich history of Kiowa County through artifacts, displays, and programs, and we serve as the county's historical museum and soda fountain. We rely on income from serving customers at our soda fountain, monthly fundraisers, and the dedication and kindness of our community.

At the beginning of June 2024, our building was struck by lightning. As a result, our ice cream freezer unit malfunctioned and required a costly repair of around $6,000, and we were forced to remain closed to a few days until the freezer unit was back up and running. Funds raised by this GoFundMe will go directly to the cost of the freezer repair.
