Every $6 contribution will plant and provide long-term care for a tree in northern Burkina Faso!
With just $6 the transplant is purchased and transported to the village of Koala, in the province of Passore, soil is treated, a hole is dug, and the tree is planted and protected. After transplant, the trees are hand-watered by the association of women in the village, particularly in the dry season when the transplants are at higher risk.

In Burkina Faso, the desert is moving rapidly southward due to the climate change, resulting in catastrophic effects on soil quality and food production in an already stressed county. Our biggest weapon to fight desertification is to plant trees!
Our 1st Trees of Hope campaign was in 2018, with 2,600 trees planted in Koala, followed in 2019 with 999 more trees planted. Unfortunately, we were forced to postpone the 2020 campaign due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but we are hoping that with your help, we can come back in 2021 and plant more trees than ever!
