My name is Francis Oran I am a 21 year old boxer from the Lehigh Valley. My father and I have shared a passion for boxing, and a lifelong dream to represent the USA in the Olympics. I recently earned a spot at the Olympic Trials with a Gold medal victory at the 2019 PAL Nationals, putting us one step closer to our dream. My journey began as a 13 year old overweight kid with big dreams. I entered the boxing gym weighing over 210lb, through hard work I fought my first fight a year later at 152 lbs. Then I went on to win my first Golden Gloves title at age 15. The following six years has taken me on a journey full of ups and downs. I have won numerous championships. Through all the trials and tribulations, my father and my coach have always stood behind me, and encouraged me to never quit on my Olympic dream. All the travel and training expenses are taking a toll, my father and my coach are the only ones that provide the financial support necessary to train and compete. Lehigh Valley P4P Boxing has been my support system throughout this journey, and it’s LVP4P mission to help at risk kids through amateur boxing. Our new gym is in need of safety equipment, and training gear as well. I greatly appreciate your support. I will continue to represent Allentown and the Lehigh Valley the best I can.
