Determined Divas COVID-19 Family Fund
In 2015, A group of single moms, launched Determined Divas, a volunteer driven civic engagement series to inform, influence and inspire others to become more civically engaged. Our goal is to activate low income communities into action. Learn more Click here to learn more about Determined Divas
Since our inception, we have hosted a series of voter registration drives, conducted issue-oriented community surveys, hosted Boston City Council candidates’ forum, toy drives and other community centered activities. Driven by the results of community surveying, we have also hosted a series of civic engagement activities and trainings to address policy impacting issues including education, affordable housing and homelessness, public safety, community trauma and opportunities for youth.
As COVID-19 continues to surge and the need to support our most vulnerable increases we created The Determined Divas Fund to help support low income youth and families struggling to make ends meet during the COVID-19 crisis
The fund is designed to help offset the costs of paying bills (up to $100) while so many are out of work. Whether it's a parking ticket, cable bill, phone bill we believe every little bit can make a big difference for those already struggling to make ends meet.
