Help Rebuild Lutheran High School
For over fifty years, Lutheran High School has been providing an education for high school students of varied cultures and backgrounds, while emphasizing the values and teachings of the Lutheran Church. We are proud to represent a population of students who work hard and believe in our faculty and our school's mission.
Our diverse student body, which includes students from two city parishes, is made up of families of various socio-economic statuses. We are a small school setting that proudly provides the resources our students need to, upon graduation, enter a four year university, a community college, or the work force.
After a hopeful and successful start of our new school year, Hurricane Ida struck. We have roof damage that is so extensive most of our classrooms were flooded or received water infiltration. Our HVAC systems were destroyed and our gas line had to be removed due to a leak. We are determined to open our doors for this school year! Our plan is to close off the 3/4 of the school building that need major repairs and operate out of the remaining space of the school.
As the proud principal of Lutheran High, the school board, administration, faculty, students and I thank you for any assistance you can give us. God’s continued blessings to you.
In His Service,
The Students and Staff of Lutheran High School
