On June 11, vandals defaced a Revere neighborhood by spray-painting multiple Swastikas on a vehicle as well as the words “White Power” in the middle of the street. This hateful attack terrorized the affected community and has caused the residents to fear for their safety. We are asking your support in raising money to offer as a reward for anyone with information that leads the police to the arrest of the perpetrators. We, the Moroccan American Connections in Revere (MACIR), are committed to supporting the Revere community in these unprecedented times.

 
We have joined the Revere Emergency Response Team and were tasked with supplying the city with protective masks. 95% of US surgical masks are made overseas, which means our country only has access to 5% of our normal supply.

 
Our commitment is to purchase the adequate fabric and pay local tailors and designers to ensure the production of 2,000-6,000 masks per week.

 
To give you an idea: One Revere Hospital needs 1,500 masks per week. 1500. The shortage is real. Please help us help local hospitals and volunteers by giving us the means to produce as many masks as possible.

 
We estimate the cost of making 1 mask to be just about $1. We want to help local tailors and designers who are out of a job to pay their bills too, so we will compensate them $3/mask. Therefore, each mask will cost $4.
