Rebuild Madison Memorial Field
On the evening of May 12, 2022 the city of Madison, Minnesota and surrounding area sustained devastating damage from 90+ mph winds. As many homes, businesses, and farm sites sustained damage of a variety of levels so did Madison Memorial Field. The storm toppled three light towers while damaging another, ripped the roofs off of the dugouts, damaged concrete blocks to the dugouts and grandstand, and destroyed the batting cage. Cost to rebuild the baseball field to its original condition remains unknown. With the support of our community and baseball enthusiasts, we hope to improve what we had and accelerate the rebuilding process.
Madison Memorial Field is utilized by the Lac Qui Parle Valley Eagles, Junior Legion and Legion baseball programs, Little League summer programs, and the Madison Mallards. Currently all are looking into adjusting schedules and possibly find another field to call home for the immediate future.
Please consider donating as we begin steps towards rebuilding Madison Memorial Field.
