Madison Ice Inc.

The last few years have put a toll on the rinks’ mechanical equipment; aging buildings and compressors, damaging power outages, humid summers, etc. Coupled with loss of revenue during the pandemic, our rinks are in desperate need of funds for repairs and upgrades that will help keep thousands of skaters on the ice.

MII is a non-profit, home to one of Wisconsin’s largest Learn-to-Skate programs, youth hockey teams, figure skaters, synchronized skating teams, adaptive hockey, adaptive learn-to-skate, broomball teams, adult hockey leagues, school events and public skating. Fundraiser #2: Roof Repairs Needed NOW!

We just raised $35,000 for maintenance repairs on our chillers at Hartmeyer Ice Arena. I am now partnering with the Figure Skating Club of Madison and the West Madison Polar Caps to raise money for desperately needed roof repairs at Madison Ice Arena. Many roof leaks are causing damage to the interior of the facility causing issues to the ice, locker rooms, and lobby spaces. We have a quote from a vendor and need just $30,000 to put a stop to these issues and keep ice sports available in our community.

This is one piece of MANY fundraising opportunities that we will undertake in the coming years as we look to continue updating our aging facilities. Our next projects will include replacements of chillers, HVAC, ceiling repairs, etc.
