About Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter (MOAS)
Welcome to the Madison-Oglethorpe Animal Shelter, better known as MOAS. We have been in existence since 2002. MOAS was originally conceived as a solution to the stray animal population in Madison and Oglethorpe counties, and we still serve that role today by accepting all strays and unwanted dogs and cats from Madison and Oglethorpe County residents. \n\nOur mission is to save as many pets as possible while reducing the unwanted pet population through a low-cost spay and neuter clinic operated out of the shelter. We take our role seriously, and we are excited about the many community initiatives that we are able to offer to assist in reducing pet overpopulation and to provide better care for family pets.
