Help MAD4YU keep it's doors open!
Since 2015, MAD4YU has provided FREE tutoring, life enhancement, and computer training to under-resourced individuals in Richmond and surrounding counties and families (youth 1st-12th, adults, and active seniors) with collaborations, donations, contributions, and assistance of committed and talented volunteers as agents of change.

I’m reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and a sense of urgency. Making a Difference for You, a community enrichment resource center, is facing a crisis.

MAD4YU is lacking funds to operate normally, we are reaching out for your support to HELP pay the rent and essential expenses through October and we need money to renew our LEASE for atleast another year.

Making a Difference is more than just a business to me; it’s a labor of love and a vital resource for those seeking help and support. Our office provides a safe and nurturing environment where individuals can inhale and exhale while getting the services they need, with the guidance of the founder and our extra ordinary volunteers.

However, the financial strain has pushed me to my limits. I’ve had to resort using my savings just to keep the doors open. We are struggle to afford to maintain our services.

Without immediate intervention, the future of MAD4YU hangs in the balance. I fear that we may be forced to close our doors, depriving our community of much-needed resources for their growth.

Making a Difference for You Inc. CERC
Since 2015, MAD4YU has provided FREE tutoring, life enhancement and computer training to more than 800 under-resourced Richmond families (youth K-12, adults and seniors) with collaborations, donations, contributions and assistance of 950+ dedicated, talented volunteers.

The name reflects its very purpose: making a difference for you. That is – providing the tools for success – using computer literacy and study skills as the catalyst– to equip those who otherwise might not have access.

The acronym MAD4YU signifies the passion and unwavering commitment towards accomplishing that objective: MAD, and motivated enough to provide life enrichment services and programs – For You,
utilizing ‘MAD-ly’ committed and talented volunteers as agents of change.

We were recently featured in the Non-Profits section of the Henrico Citizen newspaper. Please read more about the impact we are having in our community here .

When MAD4YU was founded, its primary services were teaching computer literacy to children and seniors, and tutoring for students having difficulty learning. It acquired a multi-room facility with donated computers, in-kind contributions and volunteers. It evolved by responding to other client needs that surfaced. Services currently provided, but are not limited to: FREE tutoring, homework help, communication technologies, PC training, college and job readiness preparation including resume writing and online submission, personal and professional development, adult literacy, health and housing resources and social advocacy.

MAD4YU’s service users include non-mainstream Richmond Virginians who are struggling with job readiness, faltering grades, and aging - with limited access to tools needed to live fulfilling and productive lives. These citizens come from diverse backgrounds: elderly, youth, homeless, Veterans, immigrants, single-parent family, economically disadvantaged, learners who process differently.
