Mary Jane Home Enrichment Centre Inc

John and Edna Williams founded the Mary Jane Home Enrichment Centre, a homeless shelter for the less fortunate. It has been a neighborhood fixture for the past 50 plus years serving the needy as well as giving back to the community. Together they raised their three sons to follow in their footsteps, with John's business skills and Edna's charm, these boys grew into men who later would stand at Edna's side when John died in 2003.

As a family they were able to establish food and clothes donations to be distributed to the shelter while including the neighbors to also indulge if there was a need. The Williams also went above and beyond by adopting other neighborhoods to provide the homeless with housing. They encouraged many to volunteer and serve at the shelter as Edna taught the values of life which is, it is better to give than receive.

On Monday February 19th 2024 the Mary Jane Home was engulfed in fire destroying John's legacy and a place where over 20 people called home. It was a blessing that no one was hurt but they are now all homeless. The building is being demolished and the Williams family would love to rebuild and return to aid the community. We are humbly asking for your help to accomplish this goal and bring The Mary Jane Home back bigger and stronger.
