My name is Michelle Zenith RN. I am a nurse on the mainland from Portland, Oregon.. I, as well as many of you, have grown to love the Hawaiian islands as a short escape for vacation and relaxation and beauty.. I frequent these islands and incorporated culture through hula here locally and many friends that live there!

Devastated and heart-wrenched by what I saw and heard of the cute, historic, lovely town of Lahaina Maui and the devastation brought on by those consuming fires.. left me feeling helpless

Sept 4. 2023 I was already gonna brace myself for the first time to do the rough water swim in Waikiki, Oahu.. 2.384 miles/3.84 Km.. now I’m turning this race/swim into a fundraiser with anything you can sponsor preferably $20/mile ( roughly $45 per person/family) I will finish a braver girl and hopefully turn my fears of open water swims( I have done some don’t worry;)), into something to help the Ohana( family) on the islands that we love, but especially Lahaina, Maui!

As part of our quest to hike the elevation of Everest in 36 hours on October 20-21 (17 laps up Stratton Mountain!) we’ll be supporting the Maui United Way in wake of the recent tragic fires. We’re looking to put all of the training we’ve done over the past year to good use in helping to aid those affected. All proceeds will go directly to the United Way- any donations much appreciated!

On August 9th, deadly wildfires began to spread across the island of Maui in Hawaii destroying numerous buildings and forcing residents and visitors to evacuate. The disaster is one of the deadliest U.S. wildfires in recent years.

The Westport Downtown Association, Inc. (WDA) is raising funds for Maui United Way to support community relief efforts. The WDA is asking our community to come together to help Maui rebuild and recover. All proceeds will go DIRECTLY to Maui United Way. Please help us achieve our goal for the people of Maui. To show our appreciation, the WDA will randomly select four donors on Sept 15, 2023 to receive a pair of tickets to our upcoming annual Westoberfest event on Saturday, October 14th. It’s a New England Craft Beer and Family Fun event. Winners will be contacted by email.

Writing this appeal is one of the hardest things I have had to do. I was born on Maui and both my parents, as well as their parents, were raised on the island. The pain of seeing my homeland in ruins is unbearable. Many of my cousins' friends are now without a home, job, or both. The road to recovery for Maui, especially its west side, will be long and arduous. Matt and I, along with our business partner, Pat McDonald, feel an enormous calling to help. Please join me as we come together in the spirit of ohana to support Maui as its people grapple with the aftermath of the country’s deadliest wildfire. Pagliacci Pizza is putting up $25,000 in matching funds for this fundraiser. Mahalo!

We are Castaway Group, a group of construction & skilled trade companies that are locally owned and based out of Maui, Hawaii, and we are fundraising and collecting donations to support the numerous families who have been displaced due to the fires that happened in Lahaina, Kula, and Kihei recently. Castaway Group consists of Castaway Construction & Restoration LLC, Cooling Hawaii LLC, Island Tile & Stone LLC, Hawaii Electrical Solutions LLC, Island Commercial Doors & Windows LLC, and Ziggurat Design & Management LLC. Several of our employees, clients, and their 'ohana have lost their homes, businesses, jobs, schools, and/or loved ones in these catastrophic fires.

In an effort to provide some relief to these families during this time of great loss, please join Castaway Group in raising money to help support victims of the Maui Fires. Monetary donations will go directly to Maui United Way, a non-profit organization that is hosting a verified Maui Fire Relief Fund to support Maui victims.

If you would like to donate any items, such as food, clothing, supplies, etc., you may drop them off to our office located in the Central Maui Baseyard at 2000 Maui Veterans Hwy #53B, Puunene, HI 96784 (this is not a U.S.P.S. mailing address). We will distribute items to our local shelters and affected families.

As a former professional soccer player and native Hawaiian, I've found an incredible purpose beyond the field in giving back to the communities that I care about. In witnessing the unprecedented devastation to the Lahaina community, due to the recent Maui fires, I felt a deep responsibility to help. After reading through different relief initiatives I have chosen to support Maui United Way in their incredible efforts to help the local people. Through partner collaborations and a determined drive, I've been able to rally resources to offer aid to those dealing with their unimaginable losses.

Furthermore, my devotion extends to my family members who faced overwhelming loss. When my niece and her family tragically lost everything, I knew I needed to step in and offer not just support, but practical assistance as well. Thus this effort has a very personal connection to me. If you could help support in this time of need the community of Maui, my family and myself would greatly appreciate it. Hi Friends and family! I'm Eli Billik, 7th grader at Wesley. My mom and I have a home in Maui. Our home is safe and we are out of harm's way, but we wanted to do something for our Maui community. We know many of you vacation on Maui and are looking for ways to help.
