Mayberry Elementary PTA's BIG Fundraiser!

Dear Friends, Families and Neighbors of Mayberry Street Elementary,
We miss you!
Especially this time of year when the PTA traditionally throws our biggest party of the school year where we would get to see so many of your faces. The Annual Fiesta has become a Mayberry tradition that successfully brings in a good portion of the PTA's funding.
This funding goes toward a variety of events and programs throughout the school year like field trips, Teacher & Staff Appreciation Luncheon, 5th Grade Culmination Lunch/t-shirts/gifts and of course the holiday dance parties in the Cafetorium! In the past the PTA funded after school extracurricular classes such as music, cooking, dance, scrap booking, journalism and art. We would love to bring this back!
As you know, the pandemic has limited our activity. (No Fiesta!) We were able to make a few fun things happen like front door delivery of Teacher/Staff appreciation gifts in 2020 and lunch delivered to school for 2021. A drive up Trick-or-Treat with photo opportunity and a Zoom Dance Party for Valentine's Day! Unfortunately, we were not able to have our usual fundraising events to ensure funding for future activities and programs.
That brings us here! Please donate what you can and share this "fundraiser" with your friends and families!
We look forward to working with you and our Principal, Dr. Garcia, as we adjust to the new norm and find how the PTA can best serve the Mayberry Magician Community!

(For those not familiar, Mayberry Street Elementary is a sweet little LAUSD elementary school tucked away in the neighborhood of the Silverlake/Echo Park border. We have small class sizes and amazing, experienced, talented and dedicated staff! Not to mention great neighbors that have supported the school year after year.)

Estimados amigos, familias y vecinos de la escuela primaria Mayberry Street,
¡Te extrañamos!
Especialmente en esta época del año cuando El PTA tradicionalmente organiza nuestra fiesta más grande del año escolar donde podríamos ver muchas de sus caras. La Fiesta Anual se ha convertido en una tradición de Mayberry que atrae con éxito una buena parte de los fondos de El PTA.
Estos fondos se destinan a una variedad de eventos y programas a lo largo del año escolar, como excursiones de clase, almuerzo de agradecimiento a maestros y personal, almuerzo de culminación del quinto grado / camisetas / obsequios y, por supuesto, ¡los bailes festivos en el Cafetorium! En el pasado, El PTA financió clases extracurriculares como música, cocina, baile, reserva de chatarra, periodismo y arte. ¡Nos encantaría traer esto de vuelta!
Como saben, la pandemia ha limitado nuestra actividad. Pudimos hacer que sucedieran algunas cosas divertidas, como la entrega en la puerta de entrada de obsequios de agradecimiento para maestros / personal en 2020 y el almuerzo entregado a la escuela para 2021. ¡Un viaje en automóvil de Trick-or-Treat con oportunidad de fotos y una fiesta de baile Zoom para el día de San Valentín! Desafortunadamente, no pudimos tener nuestros eventos habituales de recaudación de fondos para asegurar la financiación de actividades y programas futuros.
¡Eso nos trae aquí! ¡Por favor done lo que pueda y comparta esta "fiesta para recaudar fondos" con sus amigos y familiares!
¡Esperamos trabajar con usted y nuestra directora de la escuela, Dr. García, mientras nos adaptamos a la nueva norma y descubrimos cómo El PTA puede servir mejor a la comunidad de magos de Mayberry!

Sin mencionar los excelentes vecinos que han apoyado a la escuela año tras año.)
