McKeesport K9 Unit

     K9 Stryker was diagnosed with a
cancerous sarcoma on his left front leg
near his elbow a few months ago.  The
cancer was removed and radiation was
performed to rid him of the cancer.  

    Unfortunately, the wound will not heal and he has been in a full leg bandage for over 3 months now while the doctors at PVSEC try to mend his leg.  They are          going to attempt one more surgery              before the devastating choice to     
amputate.  This surgery entails removing a skin flap from his chest and placing it    
over the radiated tissue on his elbow 
that won’t heal in hopes of restoring 
blood flow to the wound.

     The McKeesport K9 Unit is a non 
profit organization that is run strictly by 
donations and fund raisers from the 
public.  These donations go toward
buying k9 police vehicles, equipment for the dogs, proper training and helping
with the purchase of new dogs.

     With the COVID 19 situation it has
been extremely difficult to run our usual fund raisers that keep the McKeesport
K9 Unit comfortably financially stable
and Stryker’s vet bills are already 
nearing $20,000.

     Myself, and the McKeesport K9 Unit
would greatly appreciate any donation to help Stryker fight cancer.  Thank you so

McKeesport K9 Officer Farkle, named in memory of Officer Frank A Miller who was killed in the line of duty, has been diagnosed with mouth cancer and requires significant medical treatments including radiation.

The Department has estimated these medical expenses in excess of $9K.

Please help the Department with these unfunded expenses by making a donation!  Any amount would be greatly appreciated.
