Christen Long is fundraising
Funds to Aid Solomon Islands
From the Hearts of our MMI Founders, Tom and Nancy Stoeckel:
Over the 20 years of MMI's existence, we have learned that our overseas partners that need our medical supplies and equipment the most, are actually the ones that are the poorest. They are not able to raise even a fraction of the $20,000 that is needed to send a 40-foot seaworthy container of $500,000 of medical supplies and equipment.
It is these humble partners that MMI feels a special calling to come alongside and uphold their need to YOU, as someone worthy of our support.
Would you join our GoFundMe campaign to help our brothers and sisters in the Solomon Islands?
Our 2017 Gala speakers from the Solomon Islands, Pastors Rusi and Sai expressed their praise to God for their partnership with MMI. They were overjoyed for the work that has been done since 2011.
2011 - Led a trip to the Solomon Islands
2012 - 1st MMI Medical Team
2013 - 2nd MMI Medical Team and 1st Construction Team
2014 - No trip
2015 - 2nd MMI Construction Team to build a church and clinic
2016 - No trip
2017 - 3rd MMI Construction Team to build the footings for 3 buildings
2018 - Upcoming MMI Construction Team and Medical Team to finish building the 3 buildings and conduct medical clinics
We will be shipping a 40 foot container in April/May of 2018, full of building materials, and medical supplies and equipment. The building materials will be used to complete a medical clinic, church, and a headquarters for Evangelism Explosion in the Solomon Islands.
This summer, Louie Martina will be leading a construction team, and Tom and Nancy Stoeckel will be leading a medical missions team.
The TOTAL COST for shipping this container full of construction materials and medical supplies is $40,000. This included $20,000 that has already been raised for the building supplies for the 3 buildings: medical clinic, church and EE building. With the building supplies already met, we now need to raise the money to ship these supplies. We have received $3,000 so far for shipping these supplies. We now have $17,000 to go!
Please donate today and help us meet our goal by April 30, 2018.
WHO WE ARE
MMI is a Christ centered organization that exists to deliver hope to people in need through the deployment of medical supplies and equipment, medical teams, and construction teams. Since 1998, MMI has responded to the global need for adequate medical supplies by shipping domestic surplus equipment around the world to resource and invest into communities. Founders, Tom and Nancy Stoeckel, witnessed the extreme need and recognized the great opportunity to gather medical supplies and redirect the equipment to bring hope to the nations. Every day in the U.S. 3,000 tons of usable medical supplies and equipment are sent to a landfill, while thousands of people in developing countries are dying annually, simply due to a lack of basic supplies. MMI seeks to bless others with our abundance.
