Emergency Funds for Druid Park Health Center
Druid Park Community Health Center (DPCHC) has provided free medical care since 2004 to the medically disenfranchised. Operating under Miracle Making Ministries and the leadership of Dr. Robert Williams, D.min. primary medical care is provided by volunteer physicians to thousands of uninsured and underinsured patients each year. The annual operating expenses, $285,000, are raised entirely through donations and various grant applications. Dr. Williams, D. Min., the primary fundraiser, spent seven days in the intensive care unit after nearly dying from severe pneumonia caused by Legionnaires' disease. He is now recovering after being on the ventilator and experiencing complete kidney shut down, requiring dialysis. He is now off dialysis, but unfortunately, he has a long recovery ahead and will not be able to fundraise and serve his community for months into the future.
For over ten years, I was honored to serve as the medical director for this community health center in Augusta, Georgia. I saw firsthand the loving generosity and kindness shown to those in need. My foundation, the Mellick Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, hopes to raise sufficient funds to support the clinic while Rev. Robert Williams is recovering. As a former volunteer in the clinic, I can attest that this clinic, Robert Williams and its volunteers are the "real thing", true and faithful servants! Please consider donating to this worthy cause.
