Honor and Celebrate the Life of Coach Ed Pepple
Ed Pepple, legendary Mercer Island High School Boys Basketball Coach, passed away in September 2020 after a battle with cancer.
While Coach P's impact on his players and the community is immeasurable, he coached 49 years (42 at Mercer Island), won 4 State Championships, 23 KingCo Conference titles, and remains Washington State's winningest high school basketball coach with a lifetime record of 952-306.
Due to the unfortunate timing of his passing during the pandemic, we didn't have the opportunity to celebrate Coach's life and legacy properly.
With the support of the Pepple family, we've planned a celebratory event on October 1st, 2022, to honor the life of Coach Pepple. This event will allow family, friends, players, coaches, and community members to come together, share memories and celebrate the teacher and coach who shaped so many lives.
We've started this GoFundMe to help offset the costs of this community event (venue rental fees, food and beverages, and a few special touches to honor our Coach). Any excess funds raised will be contributed to the Booster Club to further memorialize Coach Pepple.
