በስመ አብ ወወልድ ወመንፈስ ቅዱስ አሐዱ አምላክ አሜን!

በዲሲ እና አካባቢው እንዲሁም በመላው ዓለም ለምትገኙ የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ምዕመናን በሙሉ!

በቨርጂንያ ግዛት በአሌክሳንደርያ ከተማ የምትገኘው የምሥራቀ ፀሐይ ቅዱስ ተክለ ሃይማኖት ቤተ ክርስቲያን ከተመሠረተችበት ከ2001 ዓ.ም. ጀምሮ እስከ አሁን ድረስ ዘርፈ ብዙ የሆኑ አገልግሎቶችን እየሰጠች ቆይታለች። ለዚህም በሕፃናት እና ወጣቶች ላይ ትኩረት በማድረግ ያፈራቻቸው አገልጋዮች እና ዲያቆናት ሕያው ምስክሮች ናቸው። በየዓመቱ 300 ያህል ሕፃናት በመቀበል የቋንቋ እና መንፈሳዊ ትምህርትም በመስጠት ላይ እንገኛለን። ቁጥራችን ከጊዜ ወደ ጊዜ እየጨመረ መጥቶ ላለፉት አራት ዓመታት በኪራይ ከምንገለገልባት ሕንጻ በተጨማሪ ድንኳን ተክለን ሥራዓተ አምልኳችንን እየፈጸምን እንገኛለን። ሆኖም በተለይ ሕፃናት፣ አባቶች እና እናቶች ክረምት በከፍተኛ ብርድ እንዲሁም በበጋ በከፍተኛ ሙቀት እየተሰቃዩ ይገኛሉ።

በአካባቢያችን ያለው የሕንጻ መግዣ ዋጋ እጅግ ውድ በመሆኑ ለዓመታት የራሳችን የሆነ ሕንጻ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ለመግዛት ሳይሳካልን ቆይቶ አሁን ግን እንደ እግዚአብሔር ፈቃድ ከብዙ ድካም በኋላ በ13421 Twin Lakes Drive, Clifton, VA 20124 ላይ የሚገኘውን ሕንጻ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ለመግዛት በሂደት ላይ እንገኛለን። የሕንጻውን ግዥ ለመፈጸም የደብራችንን ምእመናን አቅም አሟጠን ተጠቅመን፣ በቤተ ክርስቲያኗ ስም ለካህናት መኖሪያ እንዲሆን ገዝተነው የነበረውን በ4210 Corcoran Street, Alexandria VA 22309 ላይ የሚገኘውን መኖሪያ ቤት በቅርቡ ለመሸጥ በማደስ ላይ እንገኛለን። ሆኖም ሁሉም ያለን ተደማምሮ በቂ ሆኖ ባለመገኘቱ ለሕንጻው ግዥ ብድር የሚሰጠን ባንክ ተጨማሪ ገንዘብ እንድናስገባ ጠይቆናል።

ራእያችንን ለማሳካት በምናደርገው ጥረት እርስዎም ከበረከት ለመሳተፍ የሚችሉትን ይለግሱን ዘንድ በጻድቁ አቡነ ተክለ ሃይማኖት ስም ጥሪያችንን እናስተላልፋለን።

A message to Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Christians in the DC and surrounding areas, along with Christian members all around the world:

Our church, Mesrake Tsehay Kidus Teklehaymanot EOTC (Saint Tekle), founded in Alexandria, Virginia, has provided a wide range of services from 2010 until now. The many children and young adults that the church has diligently raised into faithful servants and deacons are a testimony to the church’s never-ending service to the community. While faced with the challenge of being cramped, strained, and overcrowded in the church, parishioners and students have been captivated by the services provided and have exponentially grown in number. As such, to meet the increasing demands of those the church wishes to serve, as of 2020, we built an additional tent to accommodate our members. However, the children, elderly fathers, and mothers continue suffering during the cold winter and hot summer. Due to the high price of buildings in our area, our extreme effort to buy a bigger church and move out of the one we are currently renting was not successful.

Now, with God’s will, we are in the process of acquiring a spacious building that comfortably accommodates the church. However, utilizing all our members' overstretched contributions and selling the priest's residential house owned by the church was not enough to fulfill the required down payment and other closing costs our lender bank requested.

This GoFundMe account has been opened to meet the financial demands to carry out the purchase of the church building and start service as soon as possible. Therefore, in the name of our righteous father, our patron Saint Abune Tekle Haimanot, we invite you to participate in this great blessing by donating what you can.
