Metro Sports Fieldhouse

Metro Sports Fieldhouse (MSF) is an Arlington, Texas based nonprofit organization utilizing sports as a vehicle to help youth build life skills and healthier futures. Since 2016, we have impacted the lives of over 4,500 kids and 750 families through our unique sports, S.T.E.M. education, and community-supported giving programs. Our programming is 100% free of charge, ensuring every child receives high-quality opportunities at no cost to them or their families.

THE PROBLEM

In Tarrant County 1-in-3 kids are considered overweight or obese, and 85% of students do not meet the CDC’s Healthy People 2020 Guidelines for aerobic activity. Youth who do not participate in regular physical activity are 49% more likely to abuse drugs and alcohol, 57% more likely to drop out of school, 37% more likely to become teen parents, and 27% more likely to be arrested. While concerning, these statistics are preventable.

THE SOLUTION

At MSF, we believe in the power of youth. Our solution starts with increasing equitable access to critical health and education programs so that kids can become their own advocates and be motivated and equipped to reach their full potential.

To accomplish this, we aim to purchase a 9-acre parcel of land in the heart of Arlington to build a one-of-a-kind sports and education complex. Our community not only deserves, but undeniably needs, this fieldhouse to accommodate diverse, impactful, and sustainable programming. This complex will house MSF’s programs including a new Access Play community donation store; be a pivotal location for youth sports camps and tournaments; establish space for community partners and organizations to host events; and act as a safe and inclusive space for all of Arlington’s youth. In order to realize this sizable task, we need your support.

With your generosity, we hope to raise $250,000 to put directly towards the purchase of 9-acres of land in the heart of Arlington, ultimately impacting the lives of thousands of kids and their families for years to come. With the help of former tight end stand out with the University of Texas - Austin and the Green Bay Packers and founder of ElevaTEU Jermichael Finley and the generosity of our corporate donors, we will raise the remaining funds necessary to break ground on this complex by the end of the year.
