Milford Education Foundation

FRC Team 8085 - Milford MOJO - is having an amazing season. We won the Waterbury District event in March, and we followed that up with a runner-up finish at the Hartford District event April 1-2. We are now heading up to the New England District Championships, April 5-8 in Springfield, MA, where we look to earn enough points to qualify for the World Championships April 18-23 in Houston, TX. Right now we are the #6 ranked team in New England based on district points, and 32 teams from New England move on to the World Championships.

The cost to attend the World Championships is substantial - there is a $5000 registration fee, flights, hotels, as well as incidentals. If we qualify, we have about 48 hours to decide if we will attend, and as such we need to fundraise now to make this happen.

2023 Hartford Semifinals

We are team MOJO 8085, a FIRST Robotics Competition team based in Milford, CT. Our team is comprised of Milford students, primarily students at Foran High School. We are hoping to compete at the New England District Championships (or the FIRST World Championships, if we qualify), but the entry fee for NE District Champs is $4000 ($5000 for Worlds).

Our organization is associated with the non-profit Milford Education Foundation, and our goal is to provide equitable STEM opportunities to our members. Our team was an event finalist at our first competition as part of the #2 alliance and won the Team Spirit Award. We need your help to continue our streak at Districts (and possibly Worlds) by helping with the substantial expenditures. This would include registration fees, transportation, housing, and meals. We're reaching out to the community to ensure our students can continue to showcase their hard work and dedication on the field.
