Monterey Bay Center For Environmental Literacy (Mbel)

The mission of the Monterey Bay Center for Environmental Literacy (MBEL) is to build a strong foundation in environmental literacy for all students in kindergarten through twelfth grade in the Monterey Bay region by teaching lessons, leading field studies, and working with teachers to weave environmental literacy into the current academic standards so that all students will graduate from high school with the ability to analyze environmental issues and make informed decisions that lead to a healthy, prosperous and equitable planet.
