Mount Alvernia Day Care and Learning Center

Hello Parents of Mount Alvernia Day Care,

A few of the parents and I would like to start a fundraiser for the teachers at Mt Alvernia who are currently living without a paycheck during these unprecedented shut downs. All year long these wonderful women take the absolute best care of our babies, toddlers, pre-schoolers, kindergarteners, and school-aged kids. I know that personally we couldn’t be happier with their care, commitment to learning, and their extra effort that makes Mt Alvernia so great. I hope we can pull together and show them support through this tough time.

Sister Karen and the teachers have voiced their gratitude for the loyal families over the tumultuous last 2 years during the property sale, and they expect nothing from the parents at this time. They never expect anything from us. They don’t require money for saving a child’s slot and have flexible scheduling, which has made my transition to parenthood less stressful. I have a preschooler and an infant enrolled currently. We have watched my preschooler grow from the infant room, to Miss Lisa’s class, and breakfast with Michelle’s crew for 2 years. She has now successfully potty trained thanks to Miss Chrissy, Linda, and Anita. The truth is we couldn’t have done it without them. She has spent at least half of her life with this group and the way she has developed, socialized, expressed her creativity, and self worth over the last 3 years is a testament to their love for her and all of the kids at Mt Alvernia.
