This fundraiser is to raise money to be donated to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation in honor of Patti Nelson's life and fight against MS.

From the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation's website: "The Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, known in the MS community as MS Focus, is a nonprofit organization focused on providing free services that address the critical needs of people with MS and their families, helping them maintain the best quality of life.

The symptoms of MS are unpredictable and may increase in severity over time. This presents physical, emotional, and financial challenges families must face. MS Focus is here to provide the support, education, and assistance needed to adapt to these challenging circumstances. Our primary focus is on providing individuals with MS the help they need to maintain their health and well-being, to continue to be productive and independent, and to keep a roof over their heads and a safe environment in their home. We do so with empathy, resourcefulness, and conscientious care."

In Memory Of Taylor's Dad
We wanted to give you a chance to express your love for Taylor and her family by making a donation to The Multiple Sclerosis Foundation in honor of her dad.

My precious dad is in heaven. He fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept his faith. My dad was a loving son and loyal brother, (the middle of five kids - just like me). He was so in love with my mom for all 60 years of their marriage. He was a dedicated dad of five daughters. He was a pastor, a civil engineer and friend to so many. He always had a spark in his eye and loved his own corny dad jokes. He had the best laugh. Even though multiple sclerosis eventually confined him to a chair or a bed, he continued to praise God and share his love for Jesus with everyone he met. Dad touched the lives of so many. We are so grateful we got to have such an incredible father. Our hearts hurt so much and we miss him terribly, but we’re so grateful he is praising his Savior with a perfect body, free of all suffering and pain. He talked about heaven so often. You’re finally home dad. But we sure miss you.

Keep Fighting MS for Linda Taillefer
Linda Taillefer loved life. She loved her family, friends, having fun, going to the cabin and especially loved her devoted husband Pat, beautiful daughters, Heidi and Aimee and amazing grandchildren, Alex, Anna, Talia and Charlie.

She tought anyone who was paying attention the lessons of making the best of a very challenging situation, the power of positivity, resilience and love.

She lost her battle with Multiple Sclerosis on July 19, 2020. With the 6 month anniversary of her death coming up, please help her family in remembering and honoring her incredible life by making a donation to the National MS Foundation in her honor.

Hi everyone! In two weeks I’ll be participating in a 5k for the Multiple Sclerosis society. Right now, Multiple Sclerosis (MS) does not have a cure, but every little bit counts in supporting a great cause. Please feel free to donate to a wonderful charity that is seeking to create better treatments, diagnose the disease sooner, and one day find a cure.

As some of you know, my amazing mom has been battling MS. She’s always the most involved mom and my family’s biggest supporter. Help me in reaching my goal if you know someone else who has been affected.

What is MS?

Multiple sclerosis (MS) involves an immune-mediated process in which an abnormal response of the body’s immune system is directed against the central nervous system (CNS). The CNS is made up of the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves.
Within the CNS, the immune system causes inflammation that damages myelin — the fatty substance that surrounds and insulates the nerve fibers — as well as the nerve fibers themselves, and the specialized cells that make myelin.

What causes MS?

The cause of MS is still unknown – scientists believe the disease is triggered by an as-yet-unidentified environmental factor in a person who is genetically predisposed to respond.

The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, with at least two to three times more women than men being diagnosed with the disease.
