The Museum of Broadcast Technology, Inc. is dedicated to the preservation and restoration of equipment used in the radio and television broadcasting industry. The Museum's collection spans a period starting in the 1930s and ending at approximately the year 2000. Our collection is housed in a fifteen thousand square foot former bank building in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. The Museum is open by appointment only, but our limited staff will endeavor to accommodate all reasonable requests for tours. A long term goal of the Museum is to restore as many pieces as possible to operational condition. This will allow us not only to demonstrate how the equipment operates, but, in the case of recording/reproducing devices, will allow us to reproduce antique recordings which require this vintage equipment for reproduction.
