Musical Dreams Foundation

I am fundraising to help Thomas Jefferson High School in South Los Angeles.

Music has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember, deeply influencing my life in countless positive ways. The joy and fulfillment that music brings are unparalleled. Music offers incredible benefits for children, from boosting brain development and enhancing memory to improving social skills and building confidence. Sadly, many schools in Los Angeles lack the instruments and proper instruction needed to develop good music programs. This deprives many children of the chance to explore their musical talents and pursue their dreams. In the summer of 2023, I was inspired to start Musical Dreams Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping local schools create and enhance music programs. Our mission is to ensure that every child can experience the joy of music, regardless of their background or socioeconomic status.

We are currently partnering with Thomas Jefferson High School in South Los Angeles. Serving approximately 600 students, Thomas Jefferson HS is a Title 1 school where every student receives free lunch and nutrition. This summer, our goal is to raise $37,330. The initial $10,020 will be used to purchase instruments and provide instruction for a new band program. The remaining $27,310 will be used to purchase eighty new guitars and sixty new keyboards to support guitar and keyboard instruction programs. Once we meet our summer goal, we plan to initiate music instruction programs at other under-funded schools in Los Angeles County.
