NAHN Chapter Puerto Rico Mission
The Houston, Delaware, Philadelphia, and Illinois Chapters of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses are committed in doing our part to ease the suffering of our fellow Americans and let them know we care. In May 2018, a self-funded contingency of NAHN members from these three chapters traveled to many parts of the island, providing medical care, water, food, supplies, and hope. We experienced up close the need of our people. The situation is dire and recovery will be long and painful. So, a return visit to Yabucoa, Cayey, San Sebastian and San Lorenzo is planned in November 2018, to continue urgent support to as many people as possible.
We need partners, sponsors, and volunteers to make this happen. Please know all donations will be used for medical supplies and related expenses specific to this mission (i.e., vehicle rental, gas, meals, travel, etc.) to achieve the best outcomes for each community served.
