Nantucket Safe Harbor for Animals

On Sunday, October 13th, a group of volunteers will do a  23-kilometer walk across the island of Nantucket to raise funds and awareness for the Nantucket Safe Harbor for Animals (NiSHA).

The mission of NiSHA is to provide shelter and care for animals in need
and to promote animal welfare through humane education, outreach and advocacy.

Make a donation of any amount to support our local animals in finding their forever home!

Whether you have a $10 or $1000 to give, your money makes a HUGE difference at NiSHA.

Here is a list of items that your money will cover at NiSHA:

• $10 will provide flea/tick preventative for one shelter pet for a month
• $15 buys a case of canned food for our shelter cats
• $25 provides a microchip and lifetime registration to a shelter pet
• $50 pays for one of the shelter animals to be examined by a veterinarian
• $75 sponsors Oreo's life-saving medication for a month
• $100 pays our rent for one day so we can provide shelter for animals in need
• $250 provides 25 lessons to kids through our Humane Education program
• $500 sponsors a puppy to travel from Mississippi to find a home on Nantucket
• $1000 covers the cost of two animals to be spayed so we can keep overpopulation in check
