The Show Must Go On at Narberth Community Theatre
Our beloved, Narberth Community Theatre, located in the beautiful Overbrook Presbyterian Church was tragically engulfed in a devastating fire on January 15, 2024. The flames, smoke and water destroyed much of the building, leaving us with extensive damage and a broken heart.
As a community, we have always cherished NCT as a cultural and artistic hub. It has hosted countless performances, brought joy to thousands, and provided a platform for local artists to showcase their talents.
We are determined to rebuild and rise from the ashes. However, the road to recovery has been long and difficult. We have been indemnified by our insurance company for our loss, but after full evaluation, we are falling short in our recovery. We are reaching out to our generous community for support through a GoFundMe campaign.
Your contributions, no matter how big or small, will make a significant difference in helping us restore Narberth Community Theatre to its former glory.
Funds raised will go towards(1):
- Rebuilding our theater space, including our curtains and storage areas
- Restoring damaged light and sound equipment
- Cleaning and replacing our costumes, props and set pieces
- Replacing damaged theater seating and orchestra pit components
- Reestablishing our theater programs and productions
Just $5 would provide us with funds to properly clean a costume piece; $50 helps us replace some of our set pieces and platforms; and $100 would replace one seat in our now non-existent seating - no amount is insignificant!
Together, we can rebuild NCT and ensure that it continues to be a beacon of art, culture, and community for generations to come.
