Voices Without Fear
We have a voice, and we're not afraid to use it.
Although this has been a very challenging time for me and numerous others who have suffered with sexual assault and harassment, I realize that as a cisgender, white, straight woman, my privilege has given me a platform that most survivors do not have.
Acknowledgement is meaningless without action, so this gofundme has been set up to raise money for the National Organization of Sisters of Color Ending Sexual Assault (Scesa), and any donation will help make an impact.
Your contribution will help enhance the capacity of Women of Color and Communities of Color organizations to provide culturally specific responses to sexual assault while raising the consciousness, outrage, and accountability within their communities regarding violence against women.
Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive to survivors; we hear and appreciate you. And thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause and your willingness to prove that every voice truly does matter.
More information about National Organization of Sisters of Color Ending Sexual Assault (Scesa): SCESA is a women of color-led nonprofit organization dedicated to working with our communities to create a just society in which women of color are about to live healthy lives free of violence.
If you are or know a victim of sexual assault, call 800.656.HOPE (4673) to be connected with a trained staff member from a sexual assault service provider in your area.
