Support The National Pediatric Cancer Foundation
Hey! We're Alex and Emilie Poole. We wanted to choose a few charities to fundraise for as we celebrate both our 7th wedding anniversary and our three cats' one-year "adoptiversary" this June. Fundraising for the rescue where we adopted our kitties was a no-brainer, but when we considered more human-oriented causes as well, we realized the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation was close to our hearts.
Like many, our lives have been touched by cancer, and especially by pediatric cancer. In high school, each of us separately had a friend who was diagnosed with cancer and spent years fighting for their lives. Ultimately, both of these friends passed away when we were in college, leaving behind incredible legacies and some extremely special memories for each of us. Our friends will never be forgotten - not by us, nor by any who had the privilege of knowing either or both of them. Still, we long for a day when a cure for cancer has been found and no one else has to experience the agony of the fight itself, as they did, or the pain of loss felt acutely by those left behind. That's why we chose to fundraise for the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
National Pediatric Cancer Foundation:
The National Pediatric Cancer Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to funding research to eliminate childhood cancer. Our focus is to find less toxic, more targeted therapies through a unique collaborative research initiative and partnership with top hospitals across the country.
Every contribution, big or small, makes a real impact. Even just a few dollars can help move this mission forward and reach those who need it most. Even if you can’t donate right now, sharing this fundraiser online or with friends or family is incredibly helpful.
