Affordable Living Initiative
The Affordable Living Initiative by Nede Resorts and Transitions Community Organization is a program that aims to provide affordable housing to the homeless community, including veterans. The organization will partner with various real estate investment companies to provide affordable housing through the Veteran Assistance Program HUDVash. The program also includes the: Veteran Services Program , Agricultural Job Training Program, Bee-lieve in Change Apiary, and more. The organization is poised to make a significant impact on the homeless community by addressing homelessness holistically and offering a ray of hope for those who often feel forgotten or marginalized.
The micro shelters that will be built as part of this initiative are sustainable containerized living units that will not only serve as shelter but also be a safe haven for individuals. These units are portable, economical, and can be arranged in countless ways to create the modern multi-living housing unit. They are also highly durable and built to withstand the worst weather conditions. Our shelters will be built with recycled materials, significantly limiting the need for construction materials. Thus requiring fewer resources, making it a sustainable, eco-friendly form of housing.
