JWG's 4x4x48 for NDVets
My business, Express Employment Professionals of Huntington Park, (https://www.expresspros.com/) is located in an area of southeast LA where there is a large population of homeless; most of which are seemingly suffering from either mental health issues, drug addictions and in some cases just fell on hard times. Coming to work a couple of weeks ago, as I waited in my car at a crosswalk, I watched a homeless man walk by while constantly shaking his hand at the sky. After clearing the intersection, he continued his walk down the block all the while constantly shaking his hand in the sky and I wondered to myself, "How did he get like this?" I began to imagine this guy in high school, in grade school, as just a little boy playing in his front yard or playground. This man wasn't always this way; at one point, he was some mother's innocent newborn son. I bet no one would've imagined him 30 years later, homeless and living on the streets of LA! My eyes began to well up with tears because I felt so badly for this man and every homeless person I've come across since. It's simply heartbreaking!
As a veteran myself of both the Navy & Marine Corps, I began to think of all of the veterans who served this country with nothing but pride, but through no fault of their own, came home got out of the service and have struggled ever since whether it be due to suffering from some type of PTSD, struggling to find employment or just trying to fit in and be accepted. In 2019, there were over 3,800 homeless veterans on the streets of Los Angeles!!
PLEASE join me in making a difference! I've chosen to raise money to benefit New Directions for Veterans (https://ndvets.org/). New Directions for Veterans (NDVets) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides housing and supportive services to homeless veterans throughout Los Angeles County. Founded in 1992, NDVets has helped our nation’s heroes successfully address the challenges of life after military service.

In these challenging times, we understand that finances are tight for everyone; that said, any amount that you're able to contribute is greatly appreciated!
Please help support this worthwhile cause. And if you're interested, please watch for updates from me over the course of this 48 hour challenge on Instagram, (https://www.instagram.com/jwg_enterprises/). Lastly, please share this info with your friends, family and any veterans that you may know; I'm sure they'll want to help support their "brothers in arms"!!
Thank you, stay safe & healthy and have a blessed 2021!
