Let’s walk together, say two former gang members as they work the streets, coaxing calm from conflict
Many people have read the recent Chicago Tribune article about Jorge Roque and Benny Estrada and have asked how they can help. Jorge and Benny are grateful for the outpouring of love and encouragement and have requested that we set up this gofund me page to supprt what they do.
Jorge and Benny work for New Life Centers of Chicagoland in the Urban Life Skills Mentoring Program. As you read in the story, transportaion is an important part of their work and they are in need of a 15 passenger van. A 15 passenger van costs about $42,000. We are hoping to raise $30,000 to purchase a gently used vehicle.
Would you help Jorge and Benny as they walk together with youth to raise the $30,000 to buy a Ford Transit 15 passenger van? This would be a huge blessing and give a much needed vehicle for this important work.
All donations made will directly support the work that Jorge and Benny do in the neighborhood.
