New York Geothermal Foundation, Inc.

A group of us are raising money to memorialize Walter Simpson using the New York Geothermal Foundation Inc, as our 501(c)3 passthrough. Walter was a hero to us, and we want his loving work for renewable energy and a better future to live on and be remembered through two memorials. The first is a plaque (pictured above) at the Solar Carousel at Canalside that will focus on Walter and Joan Bozer, who were both key to the vision for the Solar Carousel. The second is a bench for visitors to the 750 kW, 3.200-panel UB Solar Strand. Our projected expenses for a basic bench are $3,000. If we exceed that initial goal, funding will be used to upgrade the bench.
